Our Biographies

Joanna Hunter

I worked in the finance industry for many years and met Susie when I was looking for a dog walker for my own dog. I love the outdoors and I’m a huge animal lover.

When I had a day off I would join Susie on her walks and I realised that I’d much rather do this than sit in an office all day. I also know how important it is to have a reliable dog walker so I decided to join the Furry Friends team and have never looked back!

Our main business is dog walking. We provide 2 group walks for the dogs. We also care for small furry friends when you’re away.

We know how important your furry friends are and appreciate that everyone is busy. We pride ourselves in ensuring that all our furry friends have safe and enjoyable time when in our care. We make the take time to get to know you and your pet so that their every need is met.

New customers come to us through recommendation or they meet us when we are out walking dogs & see how much fun the dogs are having.

We usually have a long standing relationship with customers starting when our furry friends are just young.

We are reliable & caring and as we work as a team, all needs are always met.

" Susie and Michael looked after our poodle for many years until she passed. She was a funny old soul and didn't easily take to people but she was fine with them both. They Also helped us with our cats. It's not just a job to them, they genuinely love the animals. The dogs get a really good walk and get to interesting places. If I could give them more stars I would. "

" I never thought I'd need a dog walker as I always take Sula myself. Due to being a bit poorly lately though I needed some help. I turned to Jo at Furry Friends Edinburgh which has been a great decision for myself & Sula. It gives me peace of mind that she never misses a walk & Sula loves it. She has I believe become a better dog because of being with Jo & enjoys different dogs & some independece away from me. Sula is always eager to go with Jo & comes back happy, content & tired. I would highly recommend both Furry Friends & Jo. "

" I can't recommend Jo enough. Before she started walks with Jo, our vizsla Ruby had become a bit nervous around other dogs. The improvement since she's been walking with Jo is amazing - she's now going up to other dogs rather than avoiding them. She loves her walks with Jo. "

" Jo is the best dog walker! Our frenchie Winston loves her, she keeps us up to date daily with photos and always lets us know if anything is wrong. Really reliable and she's been great with our dog who recently has allergies, we've both been trying to monitor him to get to the bottom of it. Couldn't recommend her more, someone you can totally trust to look after your dog! "
